- One of the most exciting spring rituals is the first wild harvested meal. Tonight it’s dandelion quiche
- Tonight I give thanks to the Cow for her cream & 1/2 & 1/2 (2 cups), the chickens for their eggs (4), the earth for her dandelion leaf and flower (a good bunch of leaf – torn, and enough flower heads to cover the top). I thank my friend for the dill seed (to your liking), and to the ocean for her salt, and to pepper (from which it came!) Tear the leaves and place on the bottom of your pie crust. Wisk eggs, spices and dairy, and when blended, pour on top of leaves. Sprinkle the dandelion flower petals on top, and add the marigold petals as desired. Place in a 375 degree oven for about an hour (until knife inserted in center comes out clean.) Enjoy the delightful taste of Spring and know that it will leave your liver smiling!!
